Suggest Treatment For Swollen Wound After Being Pricked By Sharp Object

Hi...I stepped on a toothpick May 7th...it finally came out on its own on 8/28. Foot feels so much better but it is now swollen on the top of my foot. Swelling starts right under my toes and is swollen up to my arch and then my ankle is swollen. Should I go to the dr to have this checked out or does it just take time for muscle injuries to heal?

I really appreciate your concern, if this is piercing injury then it need to be taken care for infection or on prophylactic basis antibiotic can be started and best drug would be "Tab Amoxicillin 500 mg" three times in day, hope this information helps, take care have a nice day.
