Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband has had symptoms of Lymes disease started with a rash across his waist line. He then started with a severe headaches which then turned into sharp piercing pain down his arm/shoulders with knumbness in his finger tips and hands. To then starting with irregular heart rate with pain and stiffness all over his body. He has been seen and has had a Western Blot work up which was negative for Lymes. He has had a cardiac work up that was negative. He had a lupus work up negative. We are stumped and has been refered to a rheumetologist any ideas you may have? Is there pther Lymes work ups that would better help to diagnose is condition?
Based on the history you have shared, your husband needs extensive workup and may also need a biopsy of the rash and western blot if negative excludes Lymes disease to some extent still further workup is necessary including rheumatologist opinion and consultation with infectious disease specialists.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
