General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
PCOD is a complex disease.
It is associated with hormonal imbalance, menstrual irregularity, insulin resistance and inhibition of ovulation.
Main aim of the treatment :
Regularize the period and correct the hormonal imbalance, increase ovulation and decrease insulin resistance.

Doctor gave to meprate to induce the period.
Generally period will come in maximum 7 days after the stopping the drug.
So wait for 7 days.
If still not come then medroxyprogesterone injection should be given after proper evaluation and investigations to induce the period.
Other drugs that will help to manage the PCOS
Metfromin: TO induce ovulation and decrease insulin resistance
Krimson 35: to regularise the period and have anti-androgenic activity
CLomiphene citrate and spironolactone also useful to induce the ovulation.

Reduce 10-12 % body weight if you are obese.
Do regular exercise like walking, running and yoga
Avoid excessive sweet/salt in the diet
Take more green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits.
Hope this may help you
