Hello, Approximately four months ago i was diagnosed with a brain lesion (less than 2 cm on the right side of my frontal lobe). I was also diagnosed with Chiari Malformation. I was referred to a neurosurgeon who has informed me that he did not recommend any treatment at this time as the lesion was very small. He is however, treating my symptoms (migraines) with medication; the first (Topamax) made the symptoms worst. I am now prescribed another which seems to help occasionally. I am a very concerned that treatment is not an option at this time. I certainly do not want to pacify my symptoms with medication therapy. Any thoughts?
