Suggest Treatment For Symptoms Of Knee Osteoarthritis
I AM A 48 YR OLD FEMALE WHO IS VERY OVERWEIGHT 275LBS I WORK AS A SECRETARY AND I KNOW I HAVE ARTHRITIS IN MY KNEES MY DOCTOR HAS DONE XRAYS AND IT RUNS IN MY FAMIY. LATELY MY LEFT KNEE AND LEG HAVE BEEN IN SEVER PAIN I TRY TO STAND AT WORK AND WALK MORE BUT AT WORK IT IS KILLING ME WHAT SHOULD I DO
As per history provided by you ,It seems you are suffering from osteoarthritis of left knee.
If patient osteoarthritis presented to me I would assess him/her for risk factors of osteoarthritis.
In your case there are possible three risk factors are present age ( post menopause ), obesity and significant family history of osteoarthritis.
My first advice to you please try to reduce your weight with the help of nutritionist and daily routine exercise including yoga .With reduction of weight , your pain will subside gradually.
I advice some analgesic too and some local ointment to relieve pain.
I suggest you to visit nearby physician or orthopaedician for proper evaluation and treatment
Thank you
Regards, Dr.Om
