Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a swelling on the top of my voice box, just under my chin, which is tender to the touch. I am not having a problem swallowing. However i seem to have more saliva than usual and I am swallowing more frequently than I think I usually do. My throat does not feel sore on the inside. I do not have a fever.
I think you may need to do a total blood count and formula to get checked. I think using corticosteroids such prednisolone may help you with hoarseness and also decrease the swelling on your throat.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
