Suggest Treatment For Symptoms Of Oral Lichen Planus
Hi Doctor my husband diagnosis lican planus in cheeks we r scared it can be dangerous?? Two Doctor diagnosis lican planus prescribe lycostar for 15 days, but one doctor said if it will not recover then they have to do biopsy. He is only taking alcohol occasionally.we are extremely worried please revert back soon.
Let me tell you that lichen planus is an inflammatory skin condition and many specialists believe it might be an auto immune disease. In most of the patients lichen planus usually clear up in weeks or months and only severe cases require medication.
I suggest that apart from lycostar, corticosteroid and an antihistaminic will also help.
Let me tell you that there is no point of worrying too much. Lichen planus can be uncomfortable, but is not dangerous. With time, and a combination of home and prescription treatments, your rash will clear up.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
