Suggest Treatment For Symptoms Of Seborrheic Dermatitis
My hair fall during shower and itchy scalp when I m sleeping.Caused me to scratch without realising and when I woke up,hair seems to be on the pillow. I have symptoms of seborrheic dermatitis. Is this part of the result of dermatitis or stress.I also have long period recently which have been about 3 weeks.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. Seborrheic dermatitis can be treated efficiently by medicated shampoos. You can start with over the counter ketoconazole shampoos like nozoral or selenium sulphide shampoos like selsun blue at least twice weekly. If period last longer then it can be due to hormonal disturbance. A pelvic examination by a gynecologist and ultrasound examination is well appreciated in such case. Progesterone therapy will be helpful in such case also. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
