Suggest Treatment For Symptoms Of Sluggish Liver In A Alcoholic Person
Hello, I have been drinking for the last eight years eight to twelve beers a night and sometimes whole liter bottles of wine. I have symptoms of a sluggish liver and was wondering if I stopped drinking now if I could reverse the damage. Am I right to suspect damage
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... Yes alcohol consumption on long term can cause sluggish liver. 8-12 beers or a wine bottle is a lot of alcohol & it can cause severe irreversible damage. Alcohol intake should be now stopped to prevent its bad effects on liver. You should get your liver enzymes (SGOT, SGPT, AST levels) checked. & consult a doctor. There are some drugs that can prevent irreversible damage to liver, if there.
Consult a physician Hope this information helps
