Hello,
Although you do not have to worry much, I strongly suggest you be in the safe side.
Lifestyle changes can also help reduce the risks of having, or being injured during a
seizure. Some activities can be dangerous if you have
temporal lobe epilepsy or are otherwise prone to seizures. These include:
Swimming: If you choose to swim, don’t go alone and always wear a life preserver.
Bathing: Shower instead of sitting in a bathtub due to the risk of drowning in a tub.
Working high off the ground: Working on a ladder, roof, or other elevated places can be dangerous, as you could fall and injure yourself.
Driving a car or operating machinery: States have varying licensing restrictions for people with a history of seizures.
In your case, it is important to reduce
anxiety.
So, to reduce anxiety, I want to suggest some everyday measures:
Exercise daily
Maintain a positive attitude
Get enough sleep
Learn what triggers anxiety and alleviating it
Eat well- balanced diets
Practice
relaxation techniques such as yoga
Stop
smoking and consumption of caffeinated drinks
If
stress goes out of control, mild anxiolytic-like
lorazepam, triazolam can be tried.
For further query, please ask another question. I urge you to try the natural methods I have given above before going for drugs.
Do not worry. Your problem is far from being severe.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dipan Samanta, General & Family Physician
