Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m very sexually active, at least 3-4 times a day. And here recently it has hurt extremely bad even him just putting the tip in. Also I have noticed there is a slight tear around the entrance of the vagina. Are we doing it to much? To hard? Or could it be an infection?
Fluctuating hormone levels can cause thinning of vaginal walls and easily prone for tearing. Chronic skin conditions can also make your skin more fragile and prone to tearing. These conditions include eczema, psoriasis, lichen planus and lichen sclerosus. These can all negatively affect the skin on your vagina and vulva.
Certain treatments for these conditions, like oral cortico steroids, can also cause your skin to weaken and thin over time. Deficiency in vitamin C or D can impact your skin tissue strength and cause it to tear more easily. Ovarian cysts and hypothyroidism should be ruled out. Hormonal imbalance should be treated.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
