Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter is 16 yrs old play basketball regularly in a very competitive environment. She has experienced tendinitis in the past diagnosed by a physician. She has been to physical therapy which has helped her go a long time without pain. However, pain is back but she s concerned because it is in a different location than in the past. Her fear is tearing an acl. Your advice would be?
She may need to reduce the physical activity to get better. The tear pain happens more suddenly than this happening gradually while training. Reducing physical activity is the solution.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
