Hi I am 50 years of age and have been playing tennis for last 6 years. I suffered from tennis elbow on 9th July 2016 and have been taking TNS frequently and did hot and cold fermentation during the earlier days. I do not see any improvement and am unable to drink water from a 2 litre water bottle. Going by this speed I don t hope to get completely fit in next 6 months also. What would you advise me to do?
As in the initial stages of the condition, therapeutic ultrasound therapy, hot water fermentation and TENS therapy are advised. Post which exercise plays an important role in the recovery of the inflammation of the common extensor origin muscles. Also using tennis elbow brace while exercising is advised to avoid strain on the origin of the muscles. By which inflammation Can be avoided.
Exercise include is the strengthening of the flexor and extensor group of muscles of the forearm. But please don't forget to use the tennis elbow brace as this will play an important role.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
