Suggest Treatment For Testicular Pain In An Elderly Patient
50 year old son is experiencing aching pain in his left testicle (several days). Had thought he pulled a groin muscle jumping over a fence a couple of weeks ago. This pain is different from the pain a couple of weeks ago. He is bi=polar and has social anxiety disorder and will not go to doctor.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Based on the description, it appears that the pain you are experiencing in the testis could be due to pull of groin muscle. However, to rule out infection or any other cause, kindly get a scrotal ultrasound scan done. Kindly give scrotal support to reduce pain. Also you can apply ice packs on the region. Take analgesic with muscle relaxant medication containing Ibuprofen with Chloroxasone. In case, the ultrasound report indicates infection, you have to take a course of antibiotics like Levofloxacin. Gradually, your symptoms should subside. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
