Suggest Treatment For Throat And Ear Pain

I have had chronic severe throat pain just on the left side along with ear pain.. I also have a cough tat sounds like I m congested but my pcp says my lungs are clear. I was referred to an ent for further help . The ent tried to put the scope in my nasal passage but was not able to sue to the swelling .. The ent suggested I had silent acid reflux and started me and a treatment and an antibiotic as well as a second round of steroids for the swelling .. I have not gotten any better but worse.im afraid the doctors are over looking something more serious than acid reflux any help or suggestions would be appreciated .
