Suggest Treatment For Throat Infection, Pneumonia And Rapid Breathing In A Child
Respected sir! Now a days My child 6 yrs old wt 14 kg is suffering with cough and throat Infection bacterial pneumonia, his temperature rise as high as 105 degrees F. and rapidly increased breathing . actully he is also suffering with Schizophrenia by birth .he is taking Epival syrup Sodiam valporate . What shuold I do for his treatment .
Your child need detailed clinical examination, depending upon it there may be need for following investigations - - Complete Blood Count. - CRP, ESR. - Chest X-ray. - Arterial blood gas. - Liver function test. to know effect of valproate on Liver.
Depending upon clinical evaluation and above test results there may be need for hospitalization and further evaluation and treatment.
Antibiotics like cephalosporin with macrolid antibiotic may be helpful. Like Ceftrixone with Azithromycin injectable if hospitalized or cefixime with azithromycin orally.
