Suggest Treatment For Throat Infection With Swollen Tonsils

Hi, I currently have a throat infection. the back of my throat is rough and it hurts when i swallow. Also the thing inbetween my tonsils is swollen. I took one Aziwok - 500 last night. Do i continue the same medicine today or should i take some other medicine

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have infection in throat and the cause of it can be due to bacterial or viral infection leading to Pharyngitis and Tonsillitis..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Throat swab culture can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
In case if bacterial infection is ruled out then you can be advised to take antibiotics and in that case Aziwok containing active ingredient can be taken and that too not a single dose but atleast for a period of 5 days..
Along with it you can also be advised to take anti allergics like Advil, aleve, diclofenac etc..
You should do warm saline gargles 3 to 4 times a day..
Do steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
Chew a Vitamin C pellet daily..
Suck throat lozenges..
You should take a soft and bland diet and avoid spicy and chilled foods..
