Suggest Treatment For Throat Pain, Palpitations And Lethargy

I have had a throat ache and heart palpitations. no fever, sneezing, just bit lethargic. this has been going on since last Wednesday. today I went to the doctor and she prescribed z pack and said she hears a hurt murmur and I told her that I do experience some palpitations from time to time. I wanted to know if you think there two things are related. I also have a cough not very often but it is very thick phlegm

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

In case of rheumatic fever, it may cause pharyngitis followed by carditis, which may cause murmur.

Other possibilities like pharyngitis and cardiac murmur are different entities.

Please get ecg, chest X-ray, 2D echo, CRP, ESR, ASO titer etc.

Then consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care.
