Suggest Treatment For Throbbing Pain In Left Temple

I keep getting a throbbing pain in my left temple, to the point that it feels like something is moving in my head. I can feel pressure in my ear and sinuses. And there is a tender spot on my left temple. I got an MRI last year and it showed nothing. I let it go, thinking it would just go away but it has only gotten worse.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per the symptoms mentioned by you your mom might have migraine. To confirm please check for following symptoms.

1) Unilateral headache
2) Watering from eyes
3) Photo phobia
4) Nausea, Vomiting
5) Numbness and tingling sensation in head

If the above symptoms get worsen by loud sound or light or else if there is any triggering factor she has migraine. The attack of migraine is for some duration and subsides automatically.

Treatment :
Start with tab. Ibuprofen as and when required.
If not cured tab. Sumatriptan/Migrainil may help.
Avoid : Direct sunlight, dehydration and stress

Hope this will help you

Thank u
