Suggest Treatment For Throbbing Pain In The Calf

I have had a knot in my calf for about 4 days. It has been uncomfortable, but generally tolerable. Today when I was walking down the stairs I felt a sharp pain and now it hurts to walk. If I am just sitting with my foot raised, my calf area has a mild throbbing sensation, but if I try to walk or point or flex my foot I get more sharp pain. Can this just be a muscle strain or should I be worried about blood clots?

Thanks for contacting healthcare magic. .

According to your complain you have throbbing pain at calf muscle that is acute in duration that may be because of muscle strain. ..

Take a rest and avoid excessive straining of muscle...
Take analgesic for pain relief..

After taking this much care still pain is present than you have to consent a physician for further diagnosis.
Ultrasonograph help to detect any tumor or other lesion....

I hope my guidance is helpful to you.
Take care.
Thanks.
