Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

I read your query and understood your concern.
The treatment that you have started for under active thyroid does not cause weight gain, it is expected to loose 2 or 3 kg.

You didn' t mention other problems ( irregular menstrual cycle, cysts in the ovaries, ect.)

The other tablet your doctor prescribed should be metformine and it also doesn't cause weight gain.
Please mention the third tablet and i can tell you if the tablet is causing you the weight gain or there is another cause that we should find.
Do not hesitate to ask again.

Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
