Suggest Treatment For Thyroid Nodule

Hi, I m a 30yr old female that has always ate heathy n wkd out since 17 but for past 3 months I have been extremely sick..I found out I had cyst on my thyroid about 2 months ago n my doctor gave me prednisone 10mg n cetirizine 10mg to take last couple months which lessen my coughing but I still have swelling in my throat, nasal, and not to mention pain I have in my abdominal area because I pulled a muslce 3weeks ago from coughing...I also work with kids so I keep getting sick...now I have stomach virus..I want to stop taking these medicines because my immune system is weak ...do u think this is allergies (never had in my life) or cyst on thyroid?

Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
The picture looks confusing as you were given cetirizine and steroids for the cough and they do not work at all on the thyroid cyst.
You have also not mentioned anything abut the reports of the investigations you have undergone.

Yet my advise would be to:
- Ultrasonography of the neck to know the position of the thyroid problem and get a proper FNAC of the cyst.
This will help to confirm whether the thyroid cyst is a cancer or is benign.

The ideal treatment now-a days is to do hemithyroidectomy if cancer is suspected and to undergo further treatment as per the reports.
I hope this gives an early and proper diagnosis and treatment .
