Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hi,

The eye enlargement is very probably caused by the antibodies that affect the thyroid gland, a CT scan is suggested to exclude other pathologies that cause unilateral eye enlargement. The only efficacious treatment are corticosteroids in moderate to severe forms. So a very detailed clinical examination is helpful to decide rather to start treatment or not.

Hope the information will help. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,
Dr. Mirjeta
