Suggest Treatment For Tick Bites In The Vaginal Area

I went on a fishing trip this weekend and I found a couple ticks and have been able to remove all but one. It managed to find its way to my vagina. Its tucked itself between the exterior lip and normal skin where it starts to get moist. And I don t know the safest way to remove it. Help?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, tick bite can reveal multiple magnitude of symptoms depending upon the type of tick.

Guidelines for better recovery:

- tuck the tick with forceps ( if available ) and if not use eyebrow plucker and pick it in between both prongs as near to the body surface as possible
- apply ice over the tick bite area after tick removal
- calamine lotion if raw area afterwards
- consult your doc for prescription of antibiotic as doxycycline or others as per his or her choice.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
