Suggest Treatment For Tingling And Burning Sensation In Scrotum

My male friend has a tingling and burning sensation in his scrotum that extends down his leg to his foot. Its always on the right side and it usually feels better when he walks. We just want to know what it could be and what kind of doctor should he see.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the tingling and burning sensation if was localised to scrotum then herpes or other viral etiology can be considered, but hence it is radiating to leg and foot, nerve compression at groin region or above must be the reason.

* It is best recommended to consult an expert neurophysician for the diagnosis of this condition on clinical guidelines and if necessary may require neurological radiology as electromyography with or without nerve conduction study.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
