Suggest Treatment For Tingling In Hands And Forearms

I have been to a neurosurgeon. He recommends surgery, he suggest that the incision be made through the throat. The C5-6 has entered the spinal cord, He has order a cervical x-ray and now since my 3rd fall because of my dizziness and lack of balance another MRI should be done, to see if there is ore damage. Since the last fall I have severe tingling in the hands and forearms. The tingling and lack of strength more on the left arm and hand, Is it best to enter through the throat or through the back of the neck?
