Suggest Treatment For Tingling Numbness From Neck To Shoulder

I have had several hair transplants. After my last transplant which was a fue procedure i think I suffered some nerve damage. Vomiting, dizziness, severe pain. I decided to take myself to the ER to get checked out. I was prescribed a nerve medicine called gabapentin. I took this medicine for 1 month and my symptoms resided but I stopped taking it after a month because I felt like it was making me crazy. Doing stuff out of the norm. Mood swings and Outbursts and things like that. It s been 1year and 6 months since my procedure. I can t sleep on the right side of my head or back right side of head it hurts to bad. I wake up everyday with a headache. When I wake up I take 3 motrin. At about 4pm I take 3 more and at bedtime i take 3. I have a headache everyday. My heart has been racing constantly throughout the day at different times, i have a tingling numbness that runs down my mech k to my shoulders, and I ve been really fatigue. I can t live like this any longer. Can someone help me or point me in the right direction?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

From your past history it appears that you have hurt and damaged the nerves. Tingling and numbness is due to developing neurological disorder. You are suggested to visit a neurologist and get Nerve conduction tests, imaging tests and any other test required. Take vitamin B12 and vitamin E rich food or vitamin supplements.

You are taking high dose of Ibuprofen (Motrin) which is causing you heart palpitations. You are suggested to taper your dose and get clinically examined by a cardiologist. Side effect of Motrin is commonly Arrhythmia or AF. You should get EKG, lipid function test, stress tests, echo done to detect any developing pathology so that it can be treated at the earliest.

Once treatment is started headache will reduce. In the meantime stay well hydrated, take fruit, veggies and whole cereals. Avoid trans fat, spicy or oily food. Avoid constipation, constipation causes headache. Take laxatives at bed time. You can take acetaminophen for relieve, one sos when required.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
