Suggest Treatment For Tingling On The Foot

just stated taking amitriptyline 10mg for tingling in foot post surgery. I have a function to attend in 2weeks time and I was wondering if 1. I can have a drink. 2. Can I not take the tablet for two nights. 3. If I want to have a wine of a night, not every night, what are the implications.

Hello,

It may be due to peripheral neuropathy.

There can be several causes for that.

For that you may require MRI back, nerve conduction studies, vitamin b 12 levels after spine surgeon consultation.

Further treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition.

You may require tablet pregabalin and multivitamin after consultation.

Continue physical therapy.

Take soft balanced diet.

You may require detailed evaluation to rule out any other possibilities for vitamin deficiency or nerve compression at lumbar level
