Suggest Treatment For Tingling Sensation And Numbness In The Calves And Feet

Hello, my questions is actually about my mother... she was recently diagnosed with depression and has suffered from it in various ways. she was diagnosed last year in December. Her Psychiatrist prescribed Lexapro (escitalopram to be exact)to her . she was using it for about 2 months and stopped using it.. 4 weeks ago she started to feel anxious and depressed so we immediately went to the doctor. He had her take Lexapro once again, now she is feeling alot of tingling and numbness especailly in her calves and feet. with that she just feels a burning sensation but we dont know if it could be side effects of the medication.

Hello,

In my opinion, we should rule out diabetes and vitamin B12 deficiency in your case. So get done sugar levels and vitamin B12 level.

If both these are normal then the possibility of stress and anxiety related symptoms is more likely. To avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
