Suggest Treatment For Tingling Sensation And Numbness In The Shoulder

At time and without notice I will get a very warm to hot feeling that stretches from one shoulder to the other across my back. It then tingles and becomes numb at which time I feel light headed and as though I will pass out. I have never passed out and after 10 or 20 seconds, it subsides.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to cervical spondylosis and needs to be reviewed on X-ray cervical spine and CT or MRI if needed after a detailed neurosurgical evaluation.

Sometime benign positional vertigo may present with such symptoms but may not be prime suspect in your case.

Other causes like any neck vessels aneurysm or cardiac cause should also be ruled out on systemic examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
