Suggest Treatment For Tingling Sensation In The Hands And Feet

I have tingling in my hands and feet and recently am feeling a tingling at the base of my head/neck and its a gnawing burning/tingling feeling and makes me feel foggy and then i will go from hot to cold. When I feel tingly i do get weak when walking. Does this sound like anything in particular?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Well, these are signs of certain neuropathic issues and this is most commonly seen in some metabolic disorders such as diabetes, of the most common causes of peripheral neuropathy, accounting for about 30% of cases.

In diabetic neuropathy, tingling and other symptoms often first develop in both feet and go up the legs, followed by tingling and other symptoms that affect both hands and go up the arms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
