Suggest Treatment For Tingling Sensation On The Sides And Stiff Neck
I ve been taking carbidopa levadopa 25/100. For the last four days the right side of my face has been a little numb. Muscles are tight I my face. My doctor unsure if I have Parkinson s but I do have some of the symptoms but right now I m concerned about my face I have no tingling down my sides or anything just my face. I also have a stiff neck.
Noted your history about tingling on face on one side stiff neck and your Doctor is not sure about whether this is Parkinson or not. Since the face is supplied by Trigeminal nerve for sensation you can get varied sensations, pains or so if Trigeminal nerve is involves. This can occur due to viral infection, arterial loop over Trigeminal nerve or compression over the nerve. This can be diagnosed by the following ways: Clinical evaluation by an ENT Surgeon or a Neurologist. MRI for Trigeminal nerve. To see if there is any Hypothyroidism or so. Also watch for Hypertension. If a specific cause is found a specific treatment can be done to get a proper relief. Carbidopa/Levodopa to be continued or stopped as per the new findings by your treating Doctors.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
