Suggest Treatment For Tinnitus And Headaches

Hello Doctor....I recently moved from Galus/ Met. 50/850 to 50/1000. There has been some lack of energy accompanied by tinnitus and headaches. I started taking this drug about two months ago, starting with Galus/Met 50/500 then tweeked to 50/850 and for the last three weeks, 50/1000 all the while my headaches have increased in intensity and frequency with the higher doses of I presume, Metformin. Incidentally my blood sugar readings have come down over time to something approaching normal from a history of being extremely high. Any enlightenment would be appreciated. Thank you....Christian Wainwright.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Since you are having diabetes, this tinnitus can present as a complication of DM. You are medication hope your sugar is under control.

Sometimes if it goes very low again tinnitus can occur. Consult your ENT doctor. Now you can add Tab. Vertin 16 mg bid and Tab.Paracetamol 650 bid for 5 days and review.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
