Suggest Treatment For Tinnitus, Headaches And Fatigue In A Child

Hello, my 12 year old son has had symptoms for over a year. Started off with palpitations breathlessness. Became less active, stopped football, no stamina, irritable, mood swings, nausea, indigestion, loss of appetite. Also more recently pins and needles numbness headache and tinnitus. Apparently his TSH has gone up but in the last two weeks he is so exhausted he can t even go to school. Falls asleep in school and lies down all day now with pain behind ears and head and tinnitus. Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have tinnitus, headaches and fatigue in your child . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like sinusitis , diabetes, type 2 , multiple sclerosis , stress reaction , tension headache , medication reaction or side-effect , anemia . I would suggest you to consult pediatrician for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test and take history . Doctor may also refer him to ENT specialist in case of sinusitis related problem . Doctor may order CT scan and examine ear with otoscope . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like amoxicillin , along with sedative and supplements like ginkgo biloba . For now take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and eat iron rich food like spinach .
