Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, about 3 weeks ago I started to get ringing in my right ear and because I just relocated I can t get into a doctor until August first so just looking to see what type of doctor to see. I get pressure on my scalp now that can build at different times. It feels like blood flow is just building and top of my next is sore on the back side. It s like the pressure doesn t fully go away. Sometimes the left ear starts to ring then fades but right side is constant and when I push on side of my scalp the ringing gets stronger. Sometimes I can feel my pulse with the pressure around my head. My blood pressure has been fine though so more localized. Should I see an Ear Nose and Throat or Neurologist...I hate to think at 42 I had a minor stroke, it s been weird, maybe virus...just a little concerned. Thank you for any help!
Ringing sound in ears is called 'tinnitus'. Mostly it is due to inflammation of the middle ear. Vestibular canal or chochlear nerve related. For this you have to consult a ENT surgeon. You can try Tab. Vertin 16 mg bid for some time till you get an appointment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
