Suggest Treatment For Tiredness And Puffy Eyes While Having Hypothyroidism

Dear Doctor, I am a 30yr old woman, my height is 5.9 and I weigh about 64 kgs. Last year I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism (tsh 12). Ever since I have been using eltroxin 25mg. This did get my thyroid level back to normal range, however, I still feel extremely tired. I work for 2 hours in the morning and after breakfast I have no more energy left and I end up sleeping which lasts until 3 in the afternoon. Its the same even in the evening. Previously i used to do meditation and breathing excercises but now I am unable to do even that. Through the day I feel terrible. Sleep just does not seem to be enough. I am also losing a lot of hair. My skin feels terrible. And my eyes puffy. Please advise on what I can do to feel better? Will any supplements help?

HI..you are a young lady with hypothyroidism on treatment with hormone levels in desirable range.Your problem now is excessive somnolence ,puffiness eyes and dry skin.May be we need to consider other factors that leads to water lodging starting from anaemia.Do a complete haemogram, urine complete, blood urea, serum creatinine and echocardiogram .Till then, avoid day sleeping ,use a moisturizer for skin.A supplementation of iron, zinc and biotin should help provided you are not allergic to any of the one.Take care.
