Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had an infection in my toe and went to see the doctor. I got 28 CEPHALEXIN 500MG to take 4 times a day. But a day after stopping i realize that there is still some infection, although just a little. Should I take more CEPHALEXINE or just use neosporin. It seems pretty minor but persistent. Also I have diabeties and lymphoma.
With a history of impaired immune response from the diabetes and lymphoma, it would be best to use oral antibiotics to make sure that you get the correct response.
The course of oral antibiotics needs to be continued but you should speak to your doctor to let him or her know that slight infection is still present so it can be monitored.
I hope this helps
