Suggest Treatment For Tooth Pain And Pain Shooting Down Right Leg

I have had ct assisted cortisone injection and three cortisone injections over a period of 3 months,my nero surgeon says the problem is with the SI right joint and the L4/L5 vertibrea, he now want to do a Facet Block injection in the L4/L5 area. after the CT assited injection I was pain free so I started weening of my 75milligrams of fentanyl patch, pain came back mainly at night tooth ache pain shooting down my right leg pain kept me up all night so I started taking my full dose of meds again..my question is doing an injection on a facet block L4 L5 area will this releave my pain shooting down my leg so I can ween of my med again, sorry to be long winded

Hello,
Thanks for the concern. You radiating pain in right leg and your neurosurgeon told to give facet block injection. You are taking treatment according to your doctor. Radiating pain in leg have several reasons. For this you don't have lift heavy weights, you can also do some back exercise under guidance of physiotherapist for pain relief. You can also take methycobalamine injections. Avoid strain on your back.
Continue your treatment under strict observation of your surgeon. If this facet block injection doesn't give you relief than you have to go for surgery.
