Suggest Treatment For Tooth Pain

I am having pain which moves from my top left back tooth to my bottom left back tooth. At the same time I have been having a "tickle" in my throat which has caused excessive coughing and kept me up at night. This has been somewhat alieviated by taking Delsym cough medicine. All this has been going on for about 1 1/2 months. Now my right ear is "blocked up." I have been to the dentist and he see no dental problem, either by examining by eye or by x-ray. I have been to my family doctor and to an ear/nose/throat specialist. They have seen some "aggravation" of my sinuses, and have prescribed antibiotics, but after a month of this, nothing is improving. What should I try next?

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sinus infection which keeps on exaggerating and giving you these symptoms. Tooth has a nerve and blood vessels that enter into it through the tips of its roots. If the sinus has enlarged to the point that the roots of some of the teeth jut into it, then the nerves leaving the ends of the roots lay across the floor of the sinus and these are highly unprotected by the bony covering and it keeps on building pressure there and in oral cavity and throat. I would suggest you to taking over the counter decongestants like otravin tablets and prevent pressure from building. Try decongestant spray as well. Do warm saline gargles. Visit ENT specialist again with all your present symptoms and get another course of medications.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes,
