Suggest Treatment For Trichomonas And Urinary Incontinence
I was just told I have Trichomonas. I have been married for 33 years and I know we have been faith full to each other. I had back surgery 2 years ago and it is impossible for me to wipe normally. I also have bladder issues and use hand towels at night to help keep from leaking all over our bed. Could this have caused this?
Getting trichomonas does not mean you are cheating one another. Poor hygiene can make you prone not only to trichomonas but also other diseases like E.Coli, etc.
It is likely that you got trichomonas but never tested for it. Maintain your hygiene at all cost. Take a course of metronidazole or tinidazole. Do not douch or use fragrant soaps. Wear loose fitting cotton clothes, clean your mattress daily. Do not share your toiletries and avoid sex for a couple of days.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
