Suggest Treatment For Tricuspid Valve Regurgitation
I am a 51 year old man with cctga that was discovered when i was 31 years old. I have never been operated on but have had a pacemaker since i was 32 (complete heart block) and an ICD for 9 years. Ilive in a rural area and have worked physically hard my whole life. I have been advised that my tricuspid valve has moderate to severe regurgitation and should be operated on. I belive I have lasted as long as I have because I have resisted suggested surgeries (double switch) in the past. I feel fine and wonder if I should listen to the Dr. and allow them to repair the valve. Whats your thought?
