Suggest Treatment For Trigger Finger On Ring Finger Of Left Hand
Good Evening,In the morning when I wake up my third (ring) finger on my left hand is "stuck" or curved down & it usually takes about 10-15 minutes to straighten it out again usually by using my other hand.Someone described this as "Trigger Finger"? Do I need to see a doctor?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have trigger finger on ring finger of left hand . Well trigger finger, also known as stenosing tenosynovitis is a condition in which one of your fingers gets stuck in a bent position. Trigger finger occurs when the affected finger's tendon sheath becomes irritated and inflamed. This interferes with the normal gliding motion of the tendon through the sheath. I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor will take history and examine physically and order CT scan . Doctor may give Steroid injection and recommend physical therapy . For now give your hand proper rest , do icing of hand and also do stretching exercises.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
