Suggest Treatment For Turning In Of Left Foot In A Child
My son is 10 years old and he has had problems with his left foot turning in since he was born. It is much better, doctors say that he will grow out of it. But he hasn t completely, it still turns in especially when he is tired or runs. He falls down a lot. I have put his right shoe on his left foot and he says if feels perfect. Should I get a brace? or just buy two sets of shoes for play and use both right feet. If I do this will his left foot grow straighter in time?
As per your description, it seems like he is having a varus deformity. Surgical correction is required. Consult an orthopedic and he will direct you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
