Suggest Treatment For Twisted Stomach

My mother was Dx with a twisted stomache a couple months ago and surgery was not an option due to a heart condition she was eventually released and has been able to eat small meals. She is back in the hospital again for the same reason and once again they are discussing surgery. If she does not get the surgery whaT will eventually happen? Will it cut off her blood supply? She won t be able to eat anymore? She is 83 yrs old.

If your mother's stomach is twisted and surgery is not an option, her condition may cause discomfort and lead to a blockage in her gastrointestinal tract. This can cause her to be unable to eat, leading to malnutrition and other health problems.

It can also cause a build-up of gas and fluid in the stomach, leading to an obstruction of blood flow and becoming life-threatening. The best course of action would be to discuss the risks and benefits of surgery with her doctor, taking into account her age and overall health.
