Suggest Treatment For Type-2 Diabetes, Dry Heaves And Vomiting

Thank you. Worried about my 60 year old brother who has never taken care of himself. He has type II diabetes and it is uncontrolled. He s had both feet partially amputated over the last year and unfortunately, due to a bad accident at the railroad, got addicted to pain kills, Oxy and Morphine. Apparently, he has stopped that for the past nine months or so, but now he is dry heaving or vomiting every single morning, whether he eats or not. Does this have anything to do with the other problems? His is an ongoing medical problem but he s not very good at seeking medical attention.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It can be due to diabetic gastropathy, it involves gastrointestinal tract or may be due to other abdominal condition. Make sure he makes a consultation for it.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sheikh Zubair, General & Family Physician
