Suggest Treatment For Type 2 Diabetes

I am a Diabetic 2 for several yrs now, I m also 71 in good health except for diabetes. I listen to many health programs and heard recently that it is curable if you cut out Carbs & gluten from your diet. Is there any truth to this? Thank you, Marcy

Diabetologist 's  Response
Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

Mam, Cutting down down Carbohydrates and gluten definitely helps in controlling blood sugar levels. That means it helps a lot in controlling and reduce the dosages of medication to be used. But the word cure is not correct. As of now diabetes can be controlled well with good diet and active life but not cured.

Research is going on and in near future it may be possible.

Hope this guides you. For any other queries you can write to us. we will be happy to help you. Thank you.
