Hi,

Cefixime is not the right choice of antibiotic for typhoid. You should take ofloxacin 400 twice daily for 2 weeks.

A combination of Ofloxacin 200 and Cefixime 200 is also a better choice.

So far as your hydatid cyst is concerned, surgical removal of the cysts is the most common treatment, often in combination with specific anti-parasitic drug therapy.

Your haemoglobin level is also a matter of concern. The treatment of typhoid should be supplemented with iron. You can talk to your doctor or get back to us.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Hi,

In fact, it does not look to be typhoid fever. Typhidot is a non specific test nd many people do have it positive with out symptoms. So a positive Typhidot does not mean typhoid fever.

You should try to sort out why you get fevers. The HB is quite low and this needs urgent investigation and management. Regarding vaccine, yes you can have the vaccine for typhoid fever that is two doses 6 months apart.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
