Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain you have got a traumatic ulcer on the side of the tongue due to
injury with the sharp edge of the tooth and it is subsiding with the intake of anti-inflammatory medicine that is a
steroid and
multivitamin intake..
The white skin is nothing but the top layer of the ulcer which is an injured mucosa and it will slowly get sloughed off from the surface of tongue and you need not worry about it..
Feeling of ulcers in tongue can be due to
throat infection and for this you need to consult a physician and get a clinical examination done so that it can be correctly diagnosed and treated well..
As of now you can do warm saline gargles and take chewable
vitamin c tablets for throat and continue the intake of the prescribed medication for ulcers..
In case if throat infection is diagnosed you can get a
Strep test done to rule out whether it is bacterial of viral infection and treatment will be given accordingly..
Hope this information helps..
