Hi,

Multiple ulcers under the tongue which are recurrent and cause redness and soreness can be due to the following reasons:
Small, multiple ulcers of the size of up to 3 mm are called aphthous ulcers and the cause is not certain. Probably caused by deficiency of some vitamins, mineral and trace elements.Snap clear and focused photos as these may diappear very fast before seen by a Doctor.
Most probable treatment that help are as follows but need to be taken under the guidance and supervision of your treating Doctors.
Multivitamins, mineral and trace elements are available in Pharmacy stores and usually available as OTC products. Add lycopene for its anti-oxidant role.
Oral steroids may be needed or early symptomatic relief and healing.
Povidone iodine gargles.
Any other local applications as would be advised by your Doctor.
Plenty of oral fluids to avoid dehydration and self cleaning action, particularly of plain water.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
