I have strept in my belly button wat antibiotic should I be on to get rid of it? my doctor is prescribing me augmentin I've had this infection for over a month was going away slowly but came back once my antibiotic was finished? I have blood and stinky stuff coming out thank you please get back to me asap.
Hello,Welcome to the HCM Brief...Get a swab test done. Detailed answer...Since augmentin was the right treatment for strep infection,But as you said it occured again that may be because of irregular dose (incompliance)of antibiotic has been taken or the infection is not sensitive to that medicine. My opinion would be get a swab test done first ,and get culture ,which can guide the sensitivity of medicines to that particular type of infection. And discuss further .Also you may apply soframycin ointment three times a day on that region. Hopefully my answer is helpfull for you . Regards,Dr.Maheshwari
Please take Ayurvedic Medicines - Septilin 2 tabs twice daily and Triphala Guggulu - 2 tabs thrice daily. Wash the area with decoction of Triphala Churna. The above will help you in getting rid of the problem completely
